API tokens

API tokens connect things to your Clip Cabinet account: the Chrome extension and any AI agent over MCP.

Manage tokens

Go to /settings/tokens. You can:

• Mint a token. It's shown once, right after you create it. Copy it then; you can't see it again.
• See your tokens with when each was last used.
• Revoke any token you no longer want.

Where tokens are used

• The extension uses a token to upload your recordings and screenshots. Paste one into the extension's Settings. See Installing the extension.
• An AI agent uses a token to reach your library over MCP. See Connecting an AI agent.

Tokens are hashed at rest, so even we can't read them back. If a token leaks, revoke it and mint a new one.
