The clip detail page

A clip's detail page is where you watch it, with everything Clip Cabinet pulled out of it sitting alongside.

A clip's detail page

The player and the rail

The clip (video or screenshot) fills the main area. A panel on the right stays in view as you scroll and holds the clip's comments, artifacts, and details. For a tall full-page screenshot, open it fullscreen to scroll the whole image at full width with the controls pinned in place.

What's on the page

  • Transcript: the full timestamped transcript. Click any line to jump the player to that moment. (Video clips.)
  • Key frames: snapshots from the clip, each with a caption.
  • Artifacts: the URLs, errors, code, file paths, and tickets found in the clip, linked back to where they appear.
  • Comments: notes pinned to a specific moment and a spot on the frame. See Requesting feedback.

Acting on a clip

From the header you can:

While a clip is still processing, the page shows its progress and refreshes itself as each step finishes. You can watch the clip, and pin comments on it, as soon as the video is playable; the transcript, frames, and summary fill in as they finish. See What happens after you capture.
