What happens after you capture
Every clip you capture runs through an automatic pipeline. The detail page updates live as each step finishes, so you can watch a clip come together. You never trigger any of this; it starts the moment your capture uploads.
What gets built
- The clip is finalized and the player (or the image, for a screenshot) appears.
- Audio is transcribed into a timestamped transcript you can read and search. (Video clips only.)
- Key frames are pulled from the moments the screen changes, and each one gets a caption.
- Artifacts are extracted: the URLs, error messages, code, file paths, and ticket references that show up in the clip.
- A title and summary are written, and the clip is indexed for search so you can find it later by what happened in it.
The video plays as soon as it's ready. The transcript, frames, artifacts, and summary fill in as each step lands, and the page refreshes itself while processing.
Screenshots
A screenshot runs the same steps minus the video and audio: frames, artifacts, a title, a summary, and search indexing. See Capturing screenshots.
If a clip fails
If processing fails, the clip shows what it has so far with a Retry button so you can re-run it without losing the capture. If it keeps failing, see Troubleshooting & FAQ.
